DAY 1: ARRIVAL FOR YOUR 6 days Luxury Uganda Safari

You will be met by our safari guide at Entebbe International airport and taken to a luxury hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight at the start of your 6 days Luxury Uganda Safari.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NP & Afternoon chimps trekking

In the early morning we leave the bustling city of Kampala behind and drive towards Kibale Forest national park. We have lunch and then reach Kibale Forest NP. Spend the afternoon going for chimps trekking in Kibale Forest. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. You have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of them as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food. In the forest 9 different species of monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies as well. After the chimps trekking you meet your guide and head to the lodge.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK AND AFTERNOON BOAT-CRUISE

We leave the forest behind and drive towards Queen Elizabeth national park in the morning. The journey takes us through a beautiful area with many stunning views. We arrive in Queen Elizabeth in time for lunch before heading for the boat-cruise on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. The Kazinga channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and along its banks there are hippos, buffaloes and elephants visiting the water. From the boat you can see the big mammals as well as many different bird species. In the evening you enjoy a nice dinner at the lodge.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO Bwindi via game-drive in ISHASHA

We leave the lodge in the early morning to head towards the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth national park, known for its tree-climbing lions. The drive there is an experience in itself as we might spot both elephants, baboons and black-and-white colobus monkeys by the road side. When reaching Ishasha we make a game-drive searching for lions in the big fig trees and see elephants, topis, buffaloes and more. After the game-drive we continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable national park, the home of the mountain gorillas. This journey offers beautiful views as we go from flat savanna via cultivated hills on to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge getting ready for tomorrows big adventure of gorilla trekking.

DAY 5: GORILLA TREKKING DAY, Bwindi Impenetrable NP

After breakfast at the lodge it is time to head to the gorilla trekking starting point, the great highlight of this 6 days Luxury Uganda Safari. Your guide will take care of all practicalities and you take part in the briefing where you are told about the rules for the meeting with the mountain gorillas. You then walk off into the jungle with a group of up to eight people and a specialised guide to trek to the point where the gorillas are. A search team is always sent out in the early morning to locate the gorillas and lead the trekking guide to that point. Bwindi is a beautiful jungle so the trek is  an experience in itself. When you reach the point where the gorillas are you spend one unforgettable hour with them, hopefully spotting the great silverback, seeing some young members playing and studying these fascinating creatures close up. After the meeting with the gorillas you trek back and are picked up by your guide for the drive back to the lodge to rest.

DAY 6: FLY-OUT, BWINDI-ENTEBBE

Enjoy  a nice breakfast and soak in the last of the magnificent views of the Misty mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable national park. In time for your flight your guide takes you down to the airstrip and wishes you a safe journey. You leave Bwindi with unforgettable memories of your 6 days Luxury Uganda Safari. Plan for an evening/night flight from Entebbe or add a night to fly the next day.
