Day-by-day itinerary for 8 days Luxury Uganda Safari
DAY 1: ARRIVAL FOR YOUR 8 DAYS LUXURY UGANDA SAFARI
You will be met by our safari guide at Entebbe International airport and taken to a luxury hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight at the start of your 8 days Luxury Uganda Safari.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NP & Crater Lakes experience
In the early morning we leave the bustling city of Kampala behind and drive towards Kibale Forest national park. We have lunch and explore the crater lakes region before checking in at the luxurious lodge to enjoy the evening.
DAY 3: Chimps trekking in Kibale Forest & AFTERNOON BOAT-CRUISE in Queen ELizabeth NP
In the morning you go for chimps trekking in Kibale Forest. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. You have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of them as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food. In the forest 9 different species of monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies as well. After the chimps trekking you meet your guide and we leave the forest behind to drive towards Queen Elizabeth national park. We arrive in Queen Elizabeth NP and you head for the boat-cruise on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. The Kazinga channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and along its banks there are hippos, buffaloes and elephants visiting the water. From the boat you can see the big mammals as well as many different bird species. In the evening you enjoy a nice dinner at the lodge.
DAY 4: TRANSFER TO ISHASHA & afternoon game-drive
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge before we leave to head towards Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park known for its tree-climbing lions. The drive there is an experience in itself as we might spot both elephants, baboons and black-and-white colobus monkeys by the road side. When reaching Ishasha we go for a game-drive searching for lions in the big fig trees and see elephants, topis, buffaloes and more. After the game-drive we head to the lodge.

DAY 5: Morning game-drive in Ishasha & TRANSFER TO Bwindi mountains
In the early morning we head out for another game-drive in Ishasha, for a second chance to see the tree-climbing lions & hopefully other interesting sights. After the game-drive we continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable national park, the home of the mountain gorillas. This journey offers beautiful views as we go from flat savanna via cultivated hills on to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge getting ready for tomorrows big adventure of gorilla trekking.
DAY 6: GORILLA TREKKING DAY, BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NP
After breakfast at the lodge it is time to head to the gorilla trekking starting point, the great highlight of this 8 days Luxury Uganda Safari. Your guide will take care of all practicalities and you take part in the briefing where you are told about the rules for the meeting with the mountain gorillas. You then walk off into the jungle with a group of up to eight people and a specialised guide to trek to the point where the gorillas are. A search team is always sent out in the early morning to locate the gorillas and lead the trekking guide to that point. Bwindi is a beautiful jungle so the trek is an experience in itself. When you reach the point where the gorillas are you spend one unforgettable hour with them, hopefully spotting the great silverback, seeing some young members playing and studying these fascinating creatures close up. After the meeting with the gorillas you trek back and are picked up by your guide for the drive back to the lodge to rest.
DAY 7: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO, THE ‘ZEBRA MAGNET’ & AFTERNOON GAME-DRIVE
After breakfast leave the mountains behind and continue driving through the hilly areas with Lake Mburo national park as our target. We aim to reach the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon we head in to the park and game drive for view of zebras, topis, warthogs, leopard, cape buffaloes and impalas.

DAY 8: EARLY MORNING SAFARI WALK AND TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE
Get early up for a safari walk in the park with chance to see zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there day break jungle life! Go back to the lodge for breakfast before starting the transfer towards Entebbe. Along the way we make a stop by the Equator, where you can have the experience of standing with one foot on either side of the southern and northern hemisphere. In Entebbe your guide drops you at the airport to catch a flight home after your memorable 8 days Uganda safari. Plan for an evening/night flight or add an extra night to fly the next day.
